Butterfly Hat

Came home from work last night and decided I needed to make a hat to go with the black fingerless gloves I made for Katelyn. It will be a belated birthday present (VERY belated). This was another free pattern off Ravelry and I LOVE it. It was quick, fun and very easy to make. The finished project is just wonderful. I wish I could wear hats so I could make one for myself. But, if you ever saw me in a hat you would get a good laugh. I just don't have the face or the hair for it. I scare myself every time I try one on (lol) and that's no joke. My daughter on the other hand wears them beautifully, thank goodness.

This one is called Butterfly Hat and can be found at http://aliceindilbertland.blogspot.com/2007/11/butterfly-hat.html. I made mine with Cascade 220 Superwash, since it is for a teenager I figured it needed to be washable. Her favorite color is black so next time I think I will make one in a fun, bright, wool, maybe some Malabrigo. This hat can easily be made in a day if you need a quick gift.
